"I'm really proud of our guys. They played with great effort and executed our game plan. We made some mistakes, but we overcame them and got the win," O'Brien said. He credited the team's defensive effort for limiting Pitt's offense and creating turnovers.

O'Brien praised the team's running backs, led by Alex Broome and Pat Garwo, for their contributions to the victory. "Our running game was a big part of our success today. We were able to control the ball and keep Pitt's defense honest," he said.

Despite the win, O'Brien acknowledged areas where the team can improve. "We had some dropped passes and other execution errors that we need to correct. We also need to do a better job of finishing drives and putting points on the board," he said.

O'Brien expressed optimism about the team's prospects for the season. "We're still early in the season, but this was a big win for us. We have a good group of guys, and I'm excited about the direction we're headed," he said.

Boston College will face Louisville in their next game on Saturday, October 8th. O'Brien said he expects a tough matchup. "Louisville is a very talented team, and we need to be ready for a battle," he said.
