Butler, a three-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowl selection, revolutionized the safety position during his 12-year NFL career. He was known for his versatility, excelling in pass coverage, run support, and returning interceptions.
Butler spent the majority of his career with the Packers, where he became a fan favorite. In 150 games, he recorded 20 interceptions, forced 12 fumbles, and recovered eight fumbles. His game-changing plays helped the Packers win two NFC Central Division titles and reach the playoffs seven times.
Before his NFL success, Butler starred for Florida State University. As a safety and cornerback, he helped the Seminoles win the National Championship in 1993. He was named a consensus All-American and received the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back.
